3RD ANNUAL MAKALENG MUSIC FEST
Legendary DJ Fresh (Thato Sikwane) will be back at his home village Makaleng this festive season for the third annual Makaleng Music Fest at, If Not Why Not Club.
This will be Fresh’s first performance in his own village since he debuted on RB2 in 1992.
The House music DJ born 50 years ago, has been one of the country’s most successful exports to South Africa.
The Big Dawg who relocated to SA in 1994 has worked for reputable radio stations such as YFM, 5FM and Metro FM doing drive time and breakfast shows.
He’ll share the stage with another household name, Tswana soul legend, Johnny Mokhali.
There’s also a line-up of DJs that includes KUD, Howard, Nexus, Missy, Ottomatic and many others.
Early bird tickets are P100 and P200 at the gate, while the VIP circle is P500.
THAELO BOOKED IN SA
Francistown based gospel artist Kabo Thaelo will start the year 2023 with a bang. Thaelo has been booked to perform at Mokopane Hall in Mokopane South Africa alongside notable gospel names.
Thaelo was invited by Taudiarora for his One Man Show on January 07th, next year.
He’ll be sharing the stage with the likes of Black Rock, Barcelona, Moleseng and Salome Pilane.
“I’ll be supporting him like he always does in my shows in Francistown,” Thaelo told Grooving in the Ghetto (GiG).

SA TRIO IN BOKALANGA
The trio of Mukosi, Rockzie and TPZ are scheduled to perform at the Homeland Festival in Mowana village on Christmas Eve.
The three artists all have new hits dominating the airwaves, with dancer Rockzie’s ‘Inkanyezi’ receiving massive airplay on radio while the video is also on heavy rotation.
Mukosi’s ‘Maanda’ and TPZ ‘Mngenandlini’ where he features Passion Master and Mr Chosen have also been well received.
The trio will share the stage with DJs Cue, Fondo Fire, Braun, Lenty and Sledge De Maro.
