NIGHT CLUB SATURDAY

Comedian-cum-musician, Maatla Ephraim Basha will lead a group of entertainers at the brilliantly named ‘If Not Why Not’ nightclub in Makaleng village on Saturday.

The funnyman will be joined by the extremely talented, Dada Kavino and the ever exciting lyricist, Jackalas Onetym.

The decks are in for the royal treatment, with King Solomon, Miss Luu, Pavlo, Lomentoh, Notshi and Bonnie on DJ duty.

Entry charge is P50 before midnight, otherwise it’s P80 – if you’re in the area and looking for a good time, why not pop in?

STAYBRIDGE INVADED

The lush green gardens of Staybridge Riverside Hotel and Spa will host this weekend’s Back to School Invasion Picnic.

With MC Holic in charge, the Saturday show will see performances from Bafana Ba, and talented DJs such as Ms Blaccko, Maftown, Viccy, Bafana, Skhebo, Brant_Mo, JMusiq, Bax and MC The Money Laundry.

The first 50 revelers to arrive wearing school uniforms will get free jagermeister shots.

WADA DROPS NEW BEAT

Although the artist insists her genre is House, Wada we Njimbo’s (Otsile Lentswe) new single, ‘Ndebo ye bapasi’ screams Amapiano, the South African genre that has taken the world by storm.

The 36-year-old Dagwi native’s latest offering, which means Voice of the Gods, was produced by Thapelo Wa Mojuta and recorded at Big Tee Productions.

It’s a catchy track that’ll definitely fill-up dance floors.

BLUESTREET GOES TO SCHOOL

The new go-to spot in Bluetown, Bluestreet is set for another busy Saturday as it hosts its first ever Back to School gig.

The popular new joint, adjacent to the legendary Mimosa, will host DJ Cheng, Skul and Kesse with MC MisDee controlling proceedings.

Entry is free.

LA TIMMY AT THAPAMA

Man of the moment, La Timmy is in Francistown this weekend.

La Timmy, whose ‘Dubula’ duet with Harrycane and Master KG is being played on repeat across the country, will be the main act at yet another Back to School event in Ghetto on Saturday.

The veteran heads to Thapama Pleasure Island, for a show brought to you by Cue Beat Productions.

The funs begins at 5pm, with ticket prices starting from P50 for a single, rising to P80 for a double and peaking at P100 at the gate.
