Lovers of language will want to mark Friday 29 March firmly in their diaries, as Urbanites Gardens in Letlhakane provide a platform for some of Sothern Africa’s finest wordsmiths to show-off their poetic prowess.

Acts from as far as Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda and South Africa will descend on the mining town for what promises to be an epic night of poetry.

With BW’s very own Berry Heart confirmed as the MC, the list of talented poets include: Asa (Zim), Poet Ntire, Tsiki-Tsiki, Poetic Sensei, Hawa (Uganda), Oeba (Kenya), Diaka Tsa Poko, Hector (SA) and many other local acts.

A standard ticket for the event is P100, while those craving VIP treatment will have to fork out P250.

For those business big shots whose budget stretches further than most, there’s also the option of corporate tickets for P10, 000.

TOP ACTS FOR KASANE

Nandi Flame Entertainment has turned up the heat, putting together an all-fire line-up for the second edition of the Kazungula Bridge Marathon After-Party, billed for 24 February at Wildview Resort in Kasane.

Following the announcement of first act, DJ Maphorisa earlier this month, more heavy hitters have been added.

These include: Murumba Pitch, Young Stunna, DJ Ngwazi, Han C, DJ KSB and MC T.H.A.B.O.

Standard tickets are selling for P200, P250 at the gate and P750 VIP.

With February 14th fast approaching, females up and down the land are busy dropping hints, while boyfriends nervously check their bank balances.

Hotels and Lodges in the second city are also getting into the Valentines spirit, coming up with special packages for couples to enjoy this special day.
