MONARCH GOES BACK 2 SCHOOL

After a hectic festive full of fun and partying, it’s back to reality, as school and work came calling.

For some though, the good times never stop; if this applies to you, then you’ll want to be marked ‘present’ at the 2024 Monarch Annual Back 2 School event.

This year’s show sees legendary Afro Pop artist, Astley Gops and Rhumba star, Tumza and his Bullets assume the role of headline acts.

Other artists lined up to perform at the newly built Monarch Community Hall include: Kalahari, Tarzolisters, Dr Rabluu, Queen Bree, DJ Bafana, Jay London, MIC Bissau and Phusu BW as the Headmaster.

The event is slated for Saturday 27th January; entry is free for those donning a school uniform, otherwise it’s P20 to get in.

KAZUNGULA BRIDGE MARATHON AFTER-PARTY

The annual FNB Kazungula Bridge Marathon returns at the end of February for its third installment.

While the focus is on pitting the best athletes from across Africa against each other, plus thousands of fun runners testing their endurance, Chobe’s nightlife is also a big attraction.

With at least 5, 000 people expected to arrive in Kasane for the marathon, music promoters are rubbing their hands together at the imminent influx, hosting parties and festivals to cater for the visiting tourists.

Wildview Resort will host an after-party featuring DJ La Timmy on Saturday 24th and tickets are on sale at webtickets.

A standard ticket is P200, P250 at the gate and P750 for VIP.
