The second edition of Toropo Ya Muka Summer Yedu returns this Friday at Thapama Pleasure Island.

Starring the talented Sotho/Tswana rapper, Ntate Stunna, Mas Musiq and DJ Ngwazi, the festival will be held on the open parking space and acts as a festive season opener for Francistown’s fun lovers.

The line-up includes other heavy hitters such as FME DJs, Ancestral Rituals, DJ Bunny, Howard, Missy and many others.

Tickets are selling for P100 and P180 for two.

TMAN XPRESS TO ROCK LIZARD

Soweto born electronic and acapella artist, Tman Xpress The Vocalist is expected to set the stage on fire tonight (Friday) at Lizard Entertainment.

Popular for his unique style that fuses Amapiano and electronic sounds, Xpress is featured in a number of hits such as ‘Imnandi lento’, ‘Baby mama drama’, ‘Imali ikhona’ ‘We mama’ and many other songs with the likes of DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small.

He’ll be playing alongside legendary resident DJ Bunz, SG and Kusterr.

Entry charge is P40 before midnight.

TRADITIONAL MUSIC AWARDS

The first annual Traditional Music Awards of Botswana will be held at the magnificent Kazungula Bridge on 9th December.

The Cultural Tourism event will be officiated by legendary South African writer, lyricist, composer, director, choreographer and theatre producer, Mbongeni Ngema.

Some of the country’s top traditional acts who made it to the finals through an SMS voting system will also have an opportunity to perform at the prestigious event.

Founded by Raoboy Mpuang, the awards are expected to offer local collaboration opportunities with some of the best producers and artist from across Southern Africa.

Tickets are P200 (advanced) and P250 at the gate.
