POWER UP: Sithole

Leadership seminar props up resilience amid tough times

As tough economic conditions continue to squeeze the country from all sides, renowned motivational speaker, Lets Sithole, is stepping forward with a timely initiative aimed at helping professionals navigate uncertainty and build resilience.

Sithole is set to hold a one day personal development seminar aptly titled “Maximum Development Power” at the Phakalane Golf Estates on June 25, 2026.

The one day seminar is expected to hold conversations around mental toughness, execution and leadership during these difficult times. It is targeted at professionals in leadership positions from middle and senior management to team leaders and decision makers and it comes at a time when many organisations are facing shrinking revenues, growing uncertainty and increasing workplace fatigue.

Speaking to Voice Money this week Sithole explained that the seminar is a way of introducing people to the concept of personal power and the importance of becoming more resourceful during difficult times.

“Maximum Personal Power basically says irrespective of your lack of resources, what is much more important is your own resourcefulness and your own commitment to achieving your own goals,” he said.

“So the objective is to help people maximize the opportunities for taking action so that they close the gap between whom they are and who they can be. But this is not simply a motivational seminar; it’s an opportunity for people to pause and to reflect especially under the economic circumstances where everybody is feeling the financial pressure.”

Sithole further noted that, as many people carry heavy responsibilities, whether as business owners, employees or family breadwinners, it is crucial for them to develop the mindset needed to overcome adversity.

“So basically Maximum Personal Power now says under these new economic conditions that we are not used to, instead of us panicking, let’s pause, let’s reflect. Here are the difficulties and how do I overcome these difficulties and how do I make sure that I’m able to achieve what I still want to achieve irrespective of what the conditions are,” said Sithole adding that maximum personal power is a life skill needed by everyone.

With managers, team leaders and high-potential professionals making the bulk of the intended audience, the expectation is that lessons learned will filter down into work places, promoting positivity, resilience and improved performance among staff.

Benefits to organisation extend to higher productivity, customer service and innovation, reduced emotional fatigue and disengagement and improved team morale and cohesion as well as better execution, discipline and decision making.

Participants will have meaningful discussions around the psychology of pressure, mental toughness and emotional resilience, maximum personal power, execution under pressure, leadership without tittles and the adaptive organisation in order to understand how stress and uncertainty affect performance and how to work with that reality instead of working against it.

Sithole also welcomed the partnership with The Voice, noting that collaboration is essential in driving conversations that can help people and businesses survive difficult economic times.

“It is also important that The Voice found it fit for us to partner in this, so this is not just me standing up and saying I’m doing it alone. These kinds of partnerships are crucial because I realised that we are sort of under attack. The only way in which we can get ourselves out of the tough times is not to sit idle but to shift gears, let’s shift gears. So we want to be leading these conversations and I’m glad The Voice have come on board,” added Sithole.

The seminar has been intentionally designed as a limited-edition event and attendance will be capped at 60 participants to encourage meaningful engagement and discussion.

Twenty places have already been secured. Tickets are selling at P2, 275 and they cover lunch, refreshments and post seminar resource pack. Key speakers include Nelson Letshwene, a certified financial planner, who will be talking about issues of personal finance as well as leadership expert, Mompoloki Mogobe.
