Zenzele Hirschfeld of Zen Promotions hosted women at a bright Miss Millennium 2023 annual high tea to celebrate phenomenal, determined and courageous women.

The vibrant event that is the buildup to Miss Millennium Jazz Restaurant beauty contest attracted beautiful women, young and old who did justice to the all white dress code with an African doek.

Among the powerhouses that thronged the Jazz Restaurant for the high were Assistant Minister in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Beauty Manake, personal life coach, Agatha Atlholang, as well as corporate communications and public relations experts, Tebogo Lebotse Sebego and Mercy Thebe.

“We are going to give these ladies an opportunity to network, exchange and learn from each other,” said Hirschfeld when she was outlining the agenda.

The intimate women empowerment occasion conducted under the theme; ‘Embrace Equity’ proved to be impactful as speakers touched on issues of embracing diversity, promotion of inclusiveness, and appreciation that every individual bears with them an exceptional background and a set of experiences that must be valued.

Delivering her speech, Beauty Manake unpacked her journey and shared that she took a bold move of leaving her corporate job to follow her passion in farming.

Manage further spoke of how she is fervent about community projects which aims to make a difference in the lives of other people.

Describing herself as an agent of change, the minister urged Miss Millennium organizers to register as a society, “Let us form a society that can touch a larger community, not only in Gaborone,” she said, adding that women should support each other instead of attacking an and bringing each other down.

Meanwhile Hirschfeld highlighted that the pageant which was established in 2008 as a community development plan works with different charitable organisations and that this year they were donating toiletries to Ratong Women Centre which is a non-governmental organisation that seeks to empower women who are survivors of Gender Based Violence and other women in need of psycho economic empowerment.

The much anticipated grand finale is slated for February 18th when the ten contestants, aged forty years old and above will battle it out for the prize money.
