Flamboyant music producer and DJ, Leatile Motlhalamme, or LATTY as he’s known to most, will honour the late Atasaone Molemogi (ATI) during his LOUD event in Johannesburg tonight.
Latty, who once managed ATI, relocated to Jozi last year and came up with his LOUD concept this year.
Set for Kitchners-Braamfontein, the show’s third installment will see the Afro-House DJ supported by the legendary DJ Fresh as well as: YBF, Shona SA, Lesh Deep, Black Que, K-Soul, Bilamusiq and MC Leo London.
In a brief interview with Voice Entertainment, LATTY’s Manager, Lesego Matumo explained this was the singer’s way off paying his respects to ATI.
“LATTY is also grieving the loss of one of the country’s top entertainers; remember he was once ATI’s manager, and he’s devastated. Unfortunately for him he won’t be able to travel home to pay his last respects due to work commitments. He, has, however promised to give ATI a blazing send off on Friday.”
Breaking down the philosophy behind LOUD, Matumo said it is an occasion that encourages people to be loud and proud of who and what they are.
“Whether you are a misfit in society, LOUD embraces you,” she added.
Matumo added DJ Fresh will headline the event, not just as the famed legend he is but as a mentor to LATTY, who is working hard to find himself on the international stage.
“LATTY has performed at various clubs and social events in Botswana and Johannesburg and is looking forward to one day penetrating the global markets as he draws inspiration from the likes of Black Coffee, Shimza, DJ Fresh to name a few,” said Matumo.
She described the ‘Gabz City’s boyfriend’ as a diligent and multi- talented creative, who has shown his versatility as the assistant producer to DJ Fresh’s podcast ‘What A Week’.
“He has also received endorsements from The Famous Barber in Maboneng as well as Deesus Clothing, as the brand influencer,” revealed Matumo.
The artist manager and radio presenter, who’s also based in South Africa, said LATTY is gearing up for an amazing show this Friday.
“If you’re making your way to Johannesburg this weekend, Braamfontein is the place to be. Kindly come through and support ‘Joburg’s New Boyfriend,” she urged.
