A LETDOWN
By now, most of us are aware of whispers that Vee Mampeezy could run for parliamentary office next year. We haven’t even registered to vote, yet it appears Vee may already be bitten by the ‘empty promises’ bug which seems to have infected many of our political leaders.
Shaya’s reliable sources revealed that BW’s biggest artist was a no-show, disappointing eagerly waiting fans at the Miss RADP and Mr RADP Fashion Show on Saturday night.
Having already performed in Orapa and Ghetto earlier in the day, it seems the pint-sized musician bit off more than he could chew.
The ‘Dumalania’ star was also booked to sing at an event in Gakuto – a gig I’m told he made.
Kudos on the busy schedule but you could have phoned ahead -unfortunately, neither Vee nor the Ministry in charge bothered with any apologies or explanations, leaving fans feeling short-changed.
ANOTHER FLOP
Perhaps it’s time Gilbert ‘PP’ Seagile retired from events to focus on mentoring those who still believe in him because his top promoter days seem to be over.
Makhadzi was in town on Saturday for the People’s Soccer Festival and it appears PP backed her to fill up the Royal Aria Stadium.
Clearly he missed out on Shaya’s update that Makhadzi is C for cancelled in Botswana!
From the afternoon activities leading up to the festival, the event was apparently a huge letdown, with poor organisation and delivery of most artists.
This hasn’t been PP’s year at all; hopefully he’s taking away important lessons, the likes of subscribing to Shaya’s content to find out who is and who isn’t relevant anymore!

A PROUD MOMENT
Get yourself a friend who looks at you the way Business Botswana President, Neo Nwako was looking at Vice President, Slumber Tsogwane with such pride during BB’s Northern Gala Dinner on Saturday.
Yours Truly couldn’t let this moment pass without capturing it.
