As the cold nights set in, Kopong’s 2.9 Farm is offering a warm winter tonic for southerners this Saturday in the form of the Gembsbok Musical Festival.
Setting the stage alight and bringing some much-need heat to proceedings, Vee Mampeezy, DJ Gouveia and T.H.A.B.O have been named in the all-fire line-up.
The big three are backed up by a whole host of talent, with: Baxon, DJ Triggo, DJ Sabela, Casper the DJ, Marlon DH, DJ Carter and Kusere Eskimos all added to the red-hot mix.
Revellers can also look forward to a special performance by BJB, while a number of home-grown Kopong DJs will have the chance to showcase their skill sets.
Should the sun shine, and for those not put off by the recent dip in temperatures, swimming is one of the activities on offer – until 5pm at least.
In his bid to attract a bumper crowd, event organiser, Gemsbok Letshwiti will put on free shuttle services from both Mochudi (leaving at 10am) and Gaborone (running from 10am to 1pm).
“Our aim is to ensure that revellers have the best time ever in Kopong. We are ready for Saturday as people have been showing interest in attending during the activations we held in Mochudi and Kopong,” said Letshwiti.
Tickets are on sale at Gemsbok Bus Offices in Gaborone (KB Mall), Top Centre Bar (Metsimotlhabe), Seipokeng Bar (Kopong) and at various bars in Mochudi. Early bird tickets are priced at P80, otherwise patrons will have to pop up P130 at the gate.
