MONARCH’S AMAPIANO GROOVE
It’s time for movers-and-shakers to polish off their dancing shoes and get their groove on in the Ghetto as Monarch’s latest entertainment centre, El Paradiso, hosts an Amapiano Dance competition.
Set for 2nd September, the first taste of what is intended to become an annual event, the comp will bring together some of Kasi’s smoothest dancers.
With signs of summer already beating down upon us, it will be a case of Saturday Night Fever in Francistown, as entrants look to dance their way to the P1, 000 top prize.
Second place is worth a cool P750, while third spot pockets a not-to-be-sniffed-at P500.
Taking care of the decks will be: DJs Tiivaro, Zecks, Skul and Sani.
Registration costs P100 and closes on 30 August.
FAMILY FUN BY THE RIVER BANK
This Independence, Greenland Leisure Farm is offering a host of fun-filled activities for families looking to celebrate Botswana’s 57th birthday in style.
There’s plenty lined-up to keep both young and old entertained, including: horse riding, swimming, snooker, trampoline, beach volleyball, quad biking, PS4 games, giant chess and many others.
Entry is P50 for adult while kiddies get in for P30.
Bring your camp chairs for a day of fun on the river bank.
SLOWING IT DOWN
Putting the brakes on, music couple, Madala and KellyJess have dropped a brand new song, ‘Milikani’
Famous for their fast-paced Kwasa beat, the couple decided to slow down the beat slightly on this one, produced and recorded by EmJoe of EmJoe Records. The result is a hot, smooth jam brilliantly backed-up with the unmistakable Kwasa strings.
Easing off the accelerator has worked for legends such as Kanda Bongo Man and it certainly seems to have done the trick for Madala and his fiancé!
