FOCUS ON GIMC JAZZ
Lovers of good music are in for a smooth Saturday night in the capital this weekend as the GIMC Jazz Festival takes centre stage at the Molapo Showcase Piazza.
The 9th edition of the Jazz extravaganza sees South African headliners, Zonke and Vusi Nova in town to light up proceedings with their considerable talents.
On the local side: Banjo Mosele, Nono Siile and Socca Moruakgomo will unleash their vocal chords on what is expected to be a sold-out crowd.
For those who can afford it, VVIP tickets, which include full catering, open bar and premium drinks, are going for P2, 500. If your pocket doesn’t stretch that far, then normal tickets are available at P300, for a night to remember.
CITY OF GOSPEL WORSHIP NIGHT
Don’t be fooled by the name, Mpeleki July’s Foundation will be active this September as they present ‘City of Gospel Worship Night’ next Saturday (2nd Sept).
Boasting a 100 percent all local line-up, those billed to perform include: Ezra Neethings, Vusi Mtokufa, Johnson Pheto, Tshepo Zion BW, Innocent Zibotjwa, Gaone Mampane, Ditsala Moreneng Gospel Choir and Lucky Sephiri.
Tickets are selling for P200 general, P500 Golden Circle and P1, 200 VIP.
PP WA PIMP’S PARTY
Established music promoter, Gilbert Seagile, best known by his nickname ‘PP Wa Pimp’, will celebrate his born day in style this Saturday with a birthday bash at United Lounge in Block 6.
Forming part of the Botswana Entertainment Promoters Association (BEPA) Chairman’s b/day line-up are: DJ Ngwazi, Bunny, Buddahblaz, Chrispin the Drummer and Bantu Drums.
Dubbed, ‘Traffic Furt Party’, P50 gets you in for what should be a feel-good atmosphere to savor.
Dress code for the party is: red for taken, orange for maybe and green for single.
