Bloom Sanitary Pads (Pty) Ltd blossomed at the 27th Northern Trade Fair 2023 in Francistown, scooping the 1st position in the manufacturing category.
Although they were attending the fair for the first time, Bloom managed to win against the big giants like Makoro Bricks, Flo-Tek and Smart Paper.
Based in Selibe Phikwe, Bloom is registered under Botscrest Holdings, bringing hope, love and affordability to women.
It was incorporated in 2018 and started operating in 2021 producing two types of sanitary pads being regular and heavy flow.
Bloom Managing Director, Gogontle Nchemele Basiami, a University of Botswana graduate under the Mechanical Engineering said that their pads have been well received by market.
Basiame also indicated that their stall setup, display and the way they sold their product to the judges played a vital role in their win.
He promised not to miss any fair in future as it has proved to be a perfect platform for visibility and advertisement of their products to a wider market.
“The theme, Promoting Economic Growth Through Industrialization,” is relevant to us because we are a manufacturing company in line with sustainable development goals in relation to the girl child and proper sanitation.” Said Basiame.
Bloom top quality sanitary pads are available at wholesale prices to supermarkets general dealers and tuck-shops to buy for retail as well as to government and private sector.
“Our sanitary pads are made of cotton, fleece and flannel promising an absorbent, comfortable and safety product A packet of 10 is priced at P10 and so far they are found at Knockout Cash and Carry and Foodlovers stores,” explained Basiame.
