Answers to whether Black Money Makers owner and veteran performer Vee Mampeezy is bringing the local version of South Africa’s Uyajola 99 will hang in the balance at least for now.

The “Dumalana” singer posted the contract with Moja Love sending social media in a frenzy on whether the popular show- which basically exposes cheating partners- will have a local version, spearheaded by the veteran singer.

Reached for comment on the matter, Vee, born Odirile Sento decided to keep mum. In fact, the father of two hinted that he may have prematurely released the information on social media.

“I will be able to comment on this in about two weeks. What I can confirm for now is that I have signed a deal with Moja Love but as far as what the contract entails I am limited,” Vee Mampeezy could only say.

Uyajola 9/9’s viewership has gained popularity over the months is standing at over 2 million people. The TV show aires on Sundays on DStv channel 157.

Meanwhile, the veteran singer says he has put on hold releasing any music because of the restriction that has hit the music industry.

Vee says he has already lined up major features from South African big shots amongst them Makhadzi, Dj Tira, Busiswa, and Major leagues just to mention a few.

Vee says he is waiting for the right time to release the music.

“The songs are there but I just feel it is not the right time. I mean you can imagine hit songs that have been released are not doing, financially, well for the artists because the timing is wrong. COVID-19 has affected the music industry in a major way,” Vee said.
