Following a successful debut album which featured hit songs such as ‘Skelem Key’, Skelem Key Fam’s latest single named ‘Love Bite’ is already making waves in the local music circles.
In an interview with Voice Entertainment this week, Skelem Key Fam member, Edwin Kane said they hope to continue their consistency in bringing the best music to Batswana. “Our aim is to keep releasing nice tracks which will appeal to Batswana as long as we are still in the music industry. We have released a track dubbed ‘Love Bite’ which talks about unfaithfulness and Gender Based Violence (GBV) on the 1st of February and it has been doing well in the market already,” said Kane
Kane and his partner, Tlholego Nature Sonny complement each other to make great music as evidently shown by their successes with their first album.
“Me and Tlholego are a great combo, we complement each other to make hits as it was shown by our previous album which helped us to have more gigs since the return of music festivals after Covid-19. We are going to continue working hard to expand our brand and make history,” said Kane.
The latest track is part of the body of work the duo is currently working on which is expected to drop sometime around mid year.
“Love Bite is part of the project we are currently working on, and we expect to drop around June – we are currently looking to collaborate with high profile local artists such Dj Gouveia, T.H.A.B.O, Ubuntu and hopefully a few international artists just to spice up the album,” he said.
Meanwhile they have dropped visuals for their latest single ‘Love Bite’ and they are planning to drop another single before they release their full project.
“Fans have been showing love for the visuals and our plan is to drop another single before the full project which will be fireworks,” said Kane.
