Charma Gal and Vee to drop singles next month

With the entertainment industry trapped in Covid-19 handcuffs, Charma Gal and Culture Spears are set to join forces in an attempt to break Corona’s devastating shackles.

Following the success of their single ‘Sibi’, which has received rave reviews since its March release, the two brands feel the time is right to reunite once again.

Almost a decade after their last album, Culture Spears, spearheaded by Charma Gal, will drop another LP.

“We will be releasing a full album early next year,” confirmed Charma Gal in a short interview with Voice Entertainment this week.

Asked if she has now officially rejoined the internationally recognised traditional group, the ‘Hard Rock’ star responded, “We will release the album as Culture Spears. But I will be a part of the group yes. Remember, I never officially left!”

With the enticing prospect of a Culture Spears album on the horizon, in the meantime fans can gorge themselves on a feast of solo music from Charma Gal.

“I will be releasing about three singles before the end of the year. I am in studio as I speak to you finalizing a few things. The first single will be dropped mid-November,” revealed the singing icon, adding she will also feature on a number of tracks with various artists.

Meanwhile, another local heavyweight, Vee has also targeted the middle of November for the release of his next single.

“The singles are ready. I am just waiting for a release date from my record label (Universal),” declared the pint-sized phenomenon.

By his busy standards, Vee has endured a relatively quiet 2020, releasing just two singles this year – ‘Another Level’ and ‘Meleko’. He blames his inactivity on the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Covid-19 has really affected us big time. I had not released an album for four years and this was the year to release an album but I had to defer that. I did not cash out on my two singles even though they were big and received so much from Batswana because of the restrictions and all the like,” explained the Dumalana hit-maker.
