Sdala B and Paige bring international sparkle to village’s Independence celebrations
Two- Nine Farm in Kopong is the place to be this Independence holidays as South African Amapiano duo, Paige and Sdala B will headline a fun-filled music festival dubbed, Green Carpet Event on Friday.
In an interview with Voice Entertainment this week, Green Carpet Public Relations Officer (PRO), Lele Koakae said, “Green Carpet showdown was started in 2013 by a diverse group of friends with an aim to provide a platform for local upcoming artists to showcase their talents while earning a living in the process.
“We also have a mandate to assist the needy in our community even though we struggled for sponsors through the years,” Koakae noted.
According to Koakae, following a two-year hiatus caused by Covid-19, Green Carpet Event will be different as organisers have decided to involve the community in litter picking and sensitising the public about taking care of the environment.
“In addition, we have included an international duo, Paige and Sdala B to inspire locals who love music,” said Koakae.
A host of local artists such as So Sthabi, Lerato Modiega, Crispin the Drummer, DJ Marlon, DJ Timber and Mc Mtila just to mention a few will get a chance to entertain revellers on the one’s and two’s.
Quizzed about the ticket prices, Koakae said;” We have introduced a VIP tickets at the affordable price of P200 for an opportunity to interact with your favourite DJ’s and musicians while a standard ticket costs P100.
The event will start at 12pm until 6am and children will be catered to during the day with jumping castles, horse riding and swimming just to list a few.
Tickets are sold at various Kopong local bars such as Seipokeng, The Link Bar and Chillers Spot 10.
