Miss Supranational Botswana announces top 12

It was a full house at Game City Parkade last Friday when 30 beautiful young ladies vying for the Miss Supranational Botswana crown took to the stage to compete for a spot in the final 12 in a talent and fashion show.

The organizers of Miss Supranational Botswana, one of the biggest beauty pageants in the world, are beaming with excitement from what they call a successful event.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our ladies who demonstrated creativity, versatility and diversity through their craft.”

The talent show winner stole the hearts of many in the audience as she put out a song and poetry piece in sign language.

The first segment was a fashion show which fused together current and previous beauty queens.” We wanted to acknowledge and appreciate the older queens who have paved a way and continued to nurture the upcoming queens,” said Kaone Moremong.

While it featured collections from different local designers, the focus was mainly on the models who walked the runway.

“We also need someone who can make a positive change through their; From the Ground Up Project. We are looking for a vision that will run on even after her reign is past,” Moremong explained.

Going forth, the ladies will be workshopped and taken through different boot camps to polish them up and ensure that the emerging queen will be fit to compete internationally.”
