Tonota police investigate murder

Tonota police officers are investigating a case in which a Manyanda ward man was stabbed to death in the wee hours (0200) of the Independence Day at Moaloso ward.

The 33-year-old man was from a wedding with his four relatives when a gang of six men attacked him and stabbed him with a sharp instrument.

Confirming the incident, Tonota Police Station Commander, Superintendent Oteng Ngada indicated that the deceased was rushed to Tonota clinic, and subsequently taken to Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.

“Our investigations are ongoing and we have so far arrested two men aged 18 and 22 who are helping us with the investigations,” said the police boss.
