A man accused of fatally stabbing another during an altercation on Saturday at the Botswana Railways grounds in Mahalapye will appear before the Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
The incident occurred in the early hours around 03:00.
Confirming the incident, Mahalapye Station Commander, Superintendent Meshack Ranku, said the circumstances are still under investigation. However, preliminary reports suggest the altercation involved a 33-year-old man from Thomadithotse ward and a 35-year-old man from Herero ward.
“The deceased was stabbed with a sharp object and was rushed to Mahalapye Hospital, where he was certified dead upon arrival,” revealed Ranku.
He added that investigations are ongoing to determine what exactly transpired between the two men.
