Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Worldwide says it has been closely monitoring the rapid evolution of COVID-19, now declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (W.H.O), and has taken the world by surprise.
The University is in continuous consultation with various authorities across the world where its campuses are established to take precautionary measures in fighting the spread of the virus.
To date the University has shared high impact PSA videos on all its digital communication platforms to spread awareness about the virus.
In compliance with the government’s precautionary measures against Covid-19, Limkokwing Botswana suspended all classes this week until further notice and with efforts to minimize physical contact, students have been encouraged make use of digital platforms for their pending work consultations with lecturers who have also been advised to take leave and work from their respective homes.
With 4 cases and 1 death recorded in the country the university takes the health of all its student community and staff as a top priority and will stand guided by the national framework in the fight against the pandemic.
The University’s founder President, Tan Sri Limkokwing shared a statement with the student and staff community, encouraging all to take personal precautionary measures to help combat the spread of the virus worldwide.
He declared; ‘as a firm believer in the power of the human spirit to overcome and survive anything, I am reaching out to everyone within the organization to stay calm and be patient, as we wait for the situation to stabilize, which I know it will’, in a message sent to all.
The University management assured all prospective students who are eager to join Limkokwing that the 2020 New Academic Recruitment Campaign was still ongoing and encouraged all eligible students to process their applications through online platforms.
