Police launch search for wanted rape suspect
Police in Shakawe are in search of a 35-year- old fake prophet who allegedly raped his client on Independence eve at Kajaja Village.
The 22-year-old Gumare woman is said to have been taken to Kajaja by her sister to seek spiritual intervention for a strange ailment characterised by symptoms that include a feeling of unusual movements in the stomach.
Confirming the incident, Shakawe Station Commander Ogolotse Tampa revealed that on the night of the Independence Eve the so called prophet lured the victim to his hut where the healing and deliverance was supposed to take place.
” He asked her to sexually stimulate herself so that she can produce vaginal fluids that could be mixed with the herbs for treatment” revealed Tampa.
According to Tampa, when the woman hesitated the man suggested that it would be quicker for her to release the fluids if he penetrated her.
” He then proceeded to forcibly have sexual intercourse with her and fled the scene” Tampa added.
Tampa has implored the public to assist with information that could lead to his arrest .
