Drops her third single, Ha ke na Motho

Local mosakaso singer, Ogomoditse Mokenti who goes by stage name, Sygosh has collaborated with the popular South African music promoter and disk jockey, DJ Call Me on her new single, Ha Kena Motho.

The 36-year-old musician told Voice Entertainment that she featured DJ Call Me because, “Whenever he touches a song it makes waves.”

“He is a very good producer whose songs never flop. His production attracts people. Since I joined the music industry in 2006 I have never received massive positive comments like I am getting right now. I get calls from people everywhere talking about my song,” said the Dondobeleja hitmaker who is also affectionately known as MmaBorotho by her fans.

Made popular by his one-time hit song, Marry Me, DJ Call Me resurrected recently with his collaborations with the artist of the moment, Makhadzi.

Meanwhile Sygosh’s single carries a message about a person starting a relationship from scratch after being dumped by someone he or she loved.

Sharing her background she said, “I joined the music industry in 2006 as a dancer to Muslims Kwaito group. I now have two albums and two singles. The first album was recorded in 2009 at Mahalapye Hall of Fame studios by Alfred Kavezedi and it is called Dladleng. The second album named Dondobeleja was recorded by Doc Tawanda at Mega Base studios.
MmaBorotho continued to explain that she grew up loving to dance and that she also got the courage to sing from following a group called Unik Attractions. Her long term vision is to be recognized as one of the countries big artists in five years. When asked how she came to work with DJ Call Me she stated that she went to his Facebook page and took his number.
“I started sending him messages on Whatsapp and it was difficult as he took time to respond. Sometimes he blue ticked me but that did not stop me from reaching out to him as I knew he is a busy man. He ended up realising that this woman is serious and took his time to speak to me and we ended up recording this song,” said Sygosh.

She spoke of how she encounted some challenges when working on the song because she had to navigate Joburg to reach DJ Call me and it wasn’t easy.

Sygosh was sponsored by Platinum icons at River walk mall and Palapye.

The new song made waves at the Tswapong area this December as it was performed at Mokobeng and at a crossover picnic.
