INVESTIGATING: Tlokweng Police are looking into the incident

Tlokweng Police are investigating a death incident following the discovery of a decomposed body at an uninhabited yard in the border village’s Selokwana Ward on Monday.

Believed to be of Zimbabwean origin, it is estimated the dead man was in his early 40s, with police suspecting he may have been a squatter.

The body was found by the owner of the plot, which is currently being developed, after he noticed a strong stench coming from the storeroom. Peering through the window, he was shocked to see a corpse staring lifelessly back at him.

According to Tlokweng Station Commander, Baboneng Modiegi, the deceased was identified through a friend. His relatives have since been contacted in Zimbabwe to come and formally identify the body.
