MASSIVE MOLAPO SUNDAY

Doing away with the notion that Sunday is a day of rest, Molapo Crossing has an action-packed program planned for 5th November.

Featuring a mix of music and sport, the Varsity Wars Summer Festival is sure to get the blood pumping and the good times flowing.

With Baxon, Thato Tladi and Priscilla K as main acts, music lovers are well catered for, especially as the trio will be supported by Mr Henny and Freddie Pro.

The line-up also features: BJ Banx, Brian Rasesa, Tico JNR The Mammon, Friction, Ice Dee, Kenn and Ron A amongst others.

Early Bird Tickets are priced at P80, or else it’s P100. Students can pay P90 or P360 for a group of four – an offer that will have mathematicians scratching their heads!

On the sporting side of things, activities to look out for include: five-a-side football, Snooker tournament, Beach Volleyball and Battle of Dancers and Car Spinning.

GAKGATLA COMES TO LIFE

The sleepy village of Gakgatla will be wide awake this Saturday thanks to young entrepreneur, Bosswell Mpofu, who brings a buzz with: Gakgatla Battle of The DJs.

The event, set for Velkom Bar, is meant to empower youth and give upcoming DJs exposure.

Taking part will be: DJ Saffo, Fellah and Davedog.

The winner will walk away with P300 and also get a chance to play at the Town Beach Sessions on 23rd December in Molepolole.

There is also going to be a Pool Tournament amongst the day activities.

Entrance is absolutely free.

HUNTERS MAUN PICNIC’S ROYAL ATTRACTION

DJ Easy B’s stable, Monate Fela will next weekend present the Hunters Maun Picnic at Lunah Gardens, with South African royalty, Prince Kaybee as the headline act.

Joining the Mzansi music-maker on stage will be: Casper The DJ, Teaz, Bunny, Le Spooner, Swa Kids and Nendiyo.

Proving the tourist town has rich talent, Maun-natives: DJ Cue, Distilled, BK, Skint, Miles and Zaze are all included in the line-up.

The show kicks off at 1200hrs and tickets are going for P100 Early Bird, P150 Standard and P700 VIP.
