In light of Franco’s Soul Fill Up venue change, Project Manager Bafana Phempheretlhe Pheto informed that due to the significant downsize of Royal Aria in comparison to the National Stadium, tickets will be limited to ensure patrons’ safety.
He however assured that the new development changes nothing with regard to their promise to deliver an unforgettable Soul Fill Up experience.
The festival’s second edition which was scheduled for 1st April 2023 has changed course and is now headed for Royal Aria Stadium in Tlokweng on the same date.
Team Soul Fill Up informed in a Press statement that the change of venue emanated due to the international Athletic Competition (Botswana Golden Grand Prix) to be held on 29th April 2023.
“The preparation of such an international athletics event included among others the renovation of the stadium starting from the removal and reinstallation of the track which needs the stadium to hold no event be it sports or entertainment to allow a proper renovation process.”
Pheto says that Soul Fill Up remains committed to delivering the best of local entertainment regardless of the venue.
The new venue posed concern for a number of people since Royal Aria is significantly smaller than the National Stadium. However Pheto says they are not too concerned as the patrons will flow over to the stands.
“Security is however a top priority so we will be looking at ticket sales and if they reach a certain number, we will not be selling any more.”
He therefore encouraged Batswana to secure their tickets as early as possible to avoid missing out on the once in a lifetime event.
