NEW MOVE: Shell petrol station

In an exciting move for Shell petrol station, last Thursday its licensee, Vivo Energy Botswana, officially launched a new fuel formulation for the local market.

Botswana motorists will have access to the powerful liquid, which is available in both diesel and petrol and designed for efficiency, across Shell service stations countrywide.

Speaking at the launch, Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Lefoko Moagi commended Vivo Energy for being the benchmark for innovation, quality, and safety within the oil marketing industry.

“I thank the company for its commitment to ensuring that customers receive the best quality products whenever they visit their operations,” Moagi said, adding the launch of this new fuel demonstrates their determination to adapt to changing engine technology to meet customer needs.

The new fuel formulation is designed to work with both modern and older vehicles. The Minister noted this was a ‘welcome development’ as it caters to various customers in the local market and ensures no one is left behind.

Moagi promised the government will continue to create an enabling environment for companies such as Vivo Energy to invest and do business in, ‘for the growth of the economy and the delight of the customers’.

For his part, Vivo Energy Botswana Managing Director, Pawan Kiran Juwaheer said the company brings to its customers a range of new fuels designed for engine efficiency.

“Botswana joins more than 40 countries globally where the Shell fuel formulation using dynaflex technology has been launched,” revealed Juwaheer, noting this new formulation has been well-received globally by individuals and commercial customers across the globe.

The new fuel with dynaflex technology is said to contain three times the cleaning molecules of Shell FuelSave, which is ultimately better for the environment as it means fewer emissions are released.
