CHARGED: Serufho

Former Chief Executive Officer of the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC), Tuelo Serufho appeared before Extension II Magistrates court this week facing charges of threat to kill and common assault.

Serufho who cut a lonely figure in court is accused of having uttered the words, “I am to kill you B***h, you home wrecker, o nthubela lelwapa (you are wrecking my marriage),’ to Mpho Elizabeth Pule.

The 50-year-old Serufho is said to have warned Pule to stop exploring partnered dating possibilities for his wife. Information gathered from court is that Serufho went further and assaulted her wife’s friend until she sustained multiple bruises last Friday at Gaborone Golf Club.

Serufho is scheduled to return to court on the September 10th for further proceedings.

His lawyer, Unoda Mack had not responded to our questions at press time.

Serufho was appointed Acting BNSC CEO in 2020 but later got a four year renewable contract in June the following year.
