Disco artist clinches two Bomu awards
Popular Disco artist, Kehakgametse Kehakgametse known as Khoza Mkhozeni in the music circles left the disco lovers brimming with joy after clinching two awards at the recently held Botswana Musician Union (BOMU) awards.
Although it was not his first time to scoop a BOMU award, Mkhozeni indicated that receiving an award was fuel for him to work hard in music. “This is the time when our talents are recognised and honoured. My first award was in 2019 when I was crowned the best in Disco music genre. In 2021 I was also nominated but did not get an award. I am very happy to have received the two awards,” said MKhozeni
The 45-year-old Mmutlane native joined the music industry in 2005 and he boasts of eight albums under his belt, being Ekefinah, Dubula, Magamase, Morena, Master mind, Salute and My Silence.
Nkwita drops 5th album
The Tutume Ikalanga traditional music artist, Nkwita dropped his fifth album titled; Letja Mahonga Ndibongwe last week.
banging nine-track album was recorded at Soul Beats Studio in Francistown.Nkwita started working on the album in November.
The 29-year-old Tutume native has been on the music scene since 2017. Some of Nkwita’s albums are Hisa Mari Angu, Ndo Itengabo Vuri Phaa and Naka Kwe Nkalanga.
Mathuthu Banga crew invade Ghetto
Lizard Entertainment club this weekend will be hosting the Mathuthu Banga hit makers, Fortunator & Rude Kid Venda from South Africa.
It will be duo’s first time to perform at Lizard, Francistown. The Mathuthu Banga song has become an instant hit played in bars, parties and weddings.
