Fare thee well Thuzoski

RADIO LEGEND: Thuso Letlhoma

On Friday, the media fraternity will say a final, painful goodbye to one of their own, Thuso Lethlhoma.

Although the 48-year-old touched many with his gentle humour and infectious zest for life, Covid-19 regulations dictate that only a few will be permitted to attend the funeral.

The Molepolole man, who rose to stardom through Radio Botswana’s morning show ‘Masa A Sele’, passed away last week having recently been released from hospital.

Having spent 24 years as a Radio Presenter and News Reader, Thuzoski – as he was known to his legion of fans – was one the darlings of Mass Media, admired for his well-researched topics and loved for his friendly nature that greeted many with genuine warmth each morning.

Echoing the sentiments of many, Thuzoski’s close friend and colleague, Baleseng Batlotleng described the late star as an inspiration.

“He delivered his assignments with a fine balance of pride and humility and that inspired much confidence in me. As a man of flesh and blood, his good humour wouldn’t fall short of mischief but we both ate life with a big spoon in Gaborone West,” reflected Batlotleng.

“He held his microphone with the dexterity of a wizard, that one is indisputable. Re tla boa re kopana abo re bina Siwelele,” concluded an emotional Batlotleng, speaking to Voice Entertainment this week.

A Memorial Service will be held for Letlhoma at Mass Media Auditorium on Thursday.

From all at The Voice, thanks for the memories Thuzoski, you will be sorely missed.
