BATTLE FOR STATE COVERAGE
In the battle for publicity at Mass Media, the ruling party has become divided.
Some Members of Parliament and Ministers have voiced their concerns, pointing out that only a privileged few are given political mileage, even when the event in question is not worth the hype.
But here’s the thing – the opposition has been crying about this same issue for a long time.
And now, it’s your time to feel it.
Shaya believes in fairness and equal opportunities for everyone and every voice deserves to be heard, regardless of party affiliations or personal agendas.
Perhaps it is time for the complainers to join opposition parties when they call for independence of government media before you get a total blackout.
TOUGH TIMES DON’T LAST
Trust the village app to make every situation humorous with nothing but their ignorance.
Thato Jessica announced over the weekend that she was resigning from music and her tweet was met with sad goodbyes and well wishes.
Perhaps delayed by a messenger who got lost on the way, the villagers only received the news a few days later, and proceeded to question her celebrity status.
According to her, she has had a difficult career, which may explain why the Facebookers didn’t know about her existence.
Instead of quitting, maybe she should take the lack of recognition as a lesson to find a better manager and push her music more.
Like it or not, you need those Facebook numbers to find success.
INTERNATIONAL AFFAIR
After delivering the smash hit that was “The Vow”, it seems Dato Seiko is on a roll!
It appears that the 26-year-old might be cooking up something internationally.
Dato whose pronoun is apparently ‘they’ and not ‘she’ was recently pictured casually hanging out with Canadian actor and singer Charlie Gillespie.
They’s fans instantly called ‘romance’, which she dismissed.
Considering that the two have a shared talent of playing the guitar and singing, Shaya suspects that new music may be on the way.
CONFIRMATION
The battle of the festivals continues this December 22-24th and as usual, Gaabo Motho and Born and Raised battle it out for the event of the year title.
It comes as no surprise that their line ups are almost identical, however, Shaya is a bit nervous that one of their most anticipated international acts Mawhoo, has made no mention of the bookings.
You will probably say that it’s too early, however, the Shona Kwelanga hitmaker has already published her festive season bookings and it only mentions Mochudi’s BEE6 Bar as her only Botswana booking this festive season.
The organizers better hurry and clarify that up because after such an intense year, many lads are hoping to unwind at the sight of her wonderfully carved features, and her amazing voice of course!
THINGS THEY SAY
These guys must be arrested because ba re tseela madi ka dikgoka-Minister Rakgare after a poet forced some cash out of him at an event.
