‘It’s a lie!’ – Nkgakile
The Botswana Patriotic Front’s parliamentary candidate for Mogoditshane, Bruce Nkgakile has dismissed his opponent TshepangMabaila’s claims that he is being funded by BPF patron, Ian Khama.
“It’s a lie!” insisted, Nkgakile, who was launched by the former President on Saturday.
However, during the launch, Mabaila told The Voice thatKhama was supporting him financially.
The independent candidate claimed that whilst Khama didn’t launch him, SKI has given him over P50, 000 to use in his campaign.
“Khama is a member of BPF and I am not, so I didn’t expect him to launch me. But I am happy with the support he has been giving me, he is very supportive,” responded Mabaila when asked how he felt aboutKhama’s association with Nkgakile whilst it is well-publicised that he was once Khosikgolo’s ‘blue-eyed boy’.
Mabaila added that despite the considerable amount he has already received, if he needs more funds or help he would not hesitate to approach the BPF patron.
The two parliamentary hopefuls are up against ChillyboyRakgare of Botswana Democratic Party, SedirwaKgoroba of Alliance for Progressives and NthusangDibe of Umbrella for Democratic Change.
