DALOM DELIGHT
Approaching the fifth anniversary of his death, memories of the late disco music king, Dan Tshanda will be heavy in the air on an emotional Saturday night at Molapowabojang Rec.
The venue plays host to the Dalom Music Festival, where the fallen Sowetan star’s former band, the ever-popular Splash assume the role of headliners.
Adding to the Disco flow will be the Dalom Kids, who recently remixed some of their songs with Master KG and Nkozazana Daughter.
The jam-packed line-up also features: Peacock, the legendary Matshikos, Montana, Maatla Ephraim Basha, Twin Brothers, African Seeds, DJ Sly and Mzala.
MC duties will be covered by Papa Kelly, with Early Bird tickets going for a cool 100 bucks or else you’ll have to pop out P120 at the gate.
ANCESTRAL RITUALS RISE UP
Dynamic duo, Ancestral Rituals have finally released their much anticipated EP, ‘Kosha Time’.
It was certainly worth the wait!
This unique seven-track offering has the potential to catapult the group to international stardom; it really is that good! If marketed well, this masterpiece could rival South African Afro Pop giants, Mafikizolo.
Recorded at Wonder B Records in South Africa and Rhyme Records in Ramotswa, the EP was produced by Moreez.
Mzansi’s Mvelodanature and Wonder B as well as Moh from Lesotho, feature on the vocals.
