Miss Teen Botswana eyes International crown in Cambodia

Slightly over a month ago, Rosa Osenotse stepped in as Miss Teen Botswana after the Queen was dethroned because she “no longer aligned with the Miss Teen Botswana vision, mission and objectives.

With only a month’s experience in her bag, Osenotse left for Cambodia on Wednesday, to go head to head with other beauty queens for the Miss Teen International 2023 crown at the grand finale on June 24th.

The previously crowned Miss Teen Botswana 2022 first princess, officially took over as queen on April 20th.

While her ascendance to the throne was controversial, the Miss Teen Botswana crew has done a remarkable job of branding Osenotse as Miss Teen Botswana 2022 over such a short space of time.

“This opportunity is a dream come true for me, and I would love for Batswana to support me through the competition,” said the 18-year-old Letlhakane native in one of her promotional videos.

The beauty queen, who is also a creative at heart with a love for the performing arts, is currently studying for a Criminal Justice Degree at the University of Botswana.

“As part of my societal responsibility to help our country thrive, I have established an initiative called Inner Workings, a project that aims to promote mental health awareness, self love and confidence in children from ages five to pre-teens,” said Osenotse.

With hopes to raise the Botswana flag high and make her dreams come true, she has flown off to Cambodia to take on the big stage.

Meanwhile, the race is already on to find the 4th Miss Teen Botswana who will be crowned on July 22, 2023.
