“He strangled her and hit her with a fist on the eye, the victim tried to remove his hands from her neck, unfortunately he overpowered her and raped her without using a condom while the children were loudly crying,” revealed the sources.

When the victim sat on the bed and switched on the lamp, Mpywe allegedly came back inside the house and ordered her to switch off the lamp and tried hiding his face by covering it with a t-shirt before he hit her with a walking stick.

The stick did not hit the victim, instead it hit the lamp and switched it off after the batteries fell off.

“He strangled the victim again and as they were wresling on the bed, the victim bit his hand and he also bit her on the shoulder before he forcefully had sexual intercourse with her for the second time,” said the sources.

Magistrate Resheng set July 15th, 2020 for the presentation of facts.

Mpywe who is a resident of Unit 6 in Jwaneng town will be remanded in custody till his next mention.
