Dating back over 1, 500 years ago, Shaolin Kung Fu is one of the oldest and most famous of all the martial arts.
The high-flying, all action style combines Ch’an philosophy and karate, originating and developed in the Shaolin temple in China’s Henan province.
This is the style Sifu Bethuel Chilito Mmoloki lives for.
The founder of Red Dragon Martial Arts School in Francistown has become both a source of intrigue and pride in Ghetto and can often be spotted out and about in his bright orange monk-like gear.
This past Saturday, Mmoloki’s school held their third annual Grading session at the Ghetto Artists Hall at the second city’s Old Magistrate Court.
The Graduates were from all Red Dragon Martial Arts branches across the country, travelling from Palapye, Bobonong, Gaborone and Maun for the big day.
“We’ve a total of 32 Students from all our five branches, and on Saturday 17 students were graded up from level one to level two in the basic style of Southern Kung Fu. They were also given titles and ranks,” Mmoloki told Voice Sport.
The passionate Kung Fu martial artist revealed they have three affiliate partners, being Sifu Steve and GM Shu Wai Chung in Maun and Sifu Matthew Banda in the capital city.
“We expect more students to join our school next year,” declared a confident Mmoloki.
