Church dines with Phikwe orphans and senior citizens

Enlightened Free Generation Church, a Selebi Phikwe based religious group led by Prophet Kabo Nathan Batlang, hosted a dinner for the elderly and orphans in the former mining town last Saturday.

“It was a special day where the church saw fit to dine with orphans and the elderly as it is part of our mission in showing and demonstrating the love of God,” he explained.

Speaking to The Voice about the event, Prophet Batlang noted that although his church was established locally in Selebi Phikwe Area 1, it has a global mandate.

“The church compasses an outreach Ministry aiming at people in remote settlements and streets, especially the needy and orphans,” said the charismatic man of God.

“We have already had several revivals in various villages like Serule, Damuchujena, Sefhophe and Mogapi, where we demonstrated the love we have for the community by giving and donating food,” he continued.

Batlang further revealed their vision as the church is to embrace all people no matter their colour, creed or deed leading them to Christ.

“We want to empower all people with acts of love, positive reinforcement and spiritual affirmation propelling them into their God-given destiny, thereby building the Kingdom of God,” he said.

The church’s long term mission is to equip all people with the Gospel through evangelism, preaching, teaching, training and prayer outreach.

“The church desires to promote personal enrichment, spiritual excellence and community revitalization,” he concluded.
