The relaxing of Covid- 19 restrictions has come as a blessing for Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) as the party returns to its recruitment drive schedule

Before the restrictions, which barred gatherings were put in place, the BPF was engaged in a massive recruitment drive around the country.

Led by their Patron and Former President Ian Khama, the party had gone on the offensive, embarking on a countrywide tour and invading perceived ruling party strongholds such as Kumakwane, Moshupa, Kanye, Molepolole, Lentsweletau and Takatokwane among other villages.

In an interview with The Voice, the delighted BPF’s Spokesperson, Lawrence Ookeditse said that they were set to go back to their original schedule of the recruitment drive.

“We had long drawn our schedule and we will be announcing it next week,” he said before adding that the demand for BPF for membership was overwhelming.

Ookeditse said that although they will be continuing where they had left on the southern part of the country, they would also add some of the northern villages in their planning.

“We did a tour of a lot of villages in the southern part and it is time we focus a bit on the northern side too. We will also be launching an online registration system and building structures in all the regions,” Ookeditse explained.
