Botswana Entertainment Promoters Association (BEPA) is putting the government under pressure as it calls for the re-opening of the entertainment industry.
BEPA’s Chairperson, Gilbert PP Seagile said that the new normal dictates a shift in the way venues are going to look for mass gatherings.
Stadiums should have multiple entrances and exit to avoid overcrowding.
He said that there should be multiple sanitizing points at entry and exit points.
“An Isolation centre for each venue should be in place in case a patron develops COVID 19 symptoms.”
Seagile said that from now until October, night clubs should operate from 2200 to 0400am and outdoor festivals should operate from 1900hrs to 0200am since they pose less risk, as they are open spaces.
