Francistown’s baddest event promoter, MC Miss Dee (Dineo Keoreng) will get her passport out again next Saturday as, together with a group of local girls, she heads to Hartsfield in Bulawayo for her annual birthday celebrations.
A growing name across the border, Miss Dee has made it a tradition to enjoy her big day in Bulawayo with a host of local and Zim based DJs.
In this Women’s Month edition, Miss Dee will be accompanied by the witty Queen of laughter, DJs Labush, Fizzy and Liz while Vivie and Aphie will be MCs for the evening.
At an event dubbed Park ‘n’ Chill, the invasion starts at 12 noon, with the fun continuing until late into the night.
Entry is US$2 (P26) and cooler boxes are charged at US$10 (P130).
DILORO CULTURAL FEST
On Saturday 12th August, revelers in the Central District will be treated to a free community show at Setalaote Grounds in Sefhophe.
Diloro Cultural Festival incorporates social football, exhibitions, donkey riding, quad bikes, traditional dance and games like koi, mhele and sack and egg races.
There’s also top-class traditional music to enjoy, with the line-up featuring heavy hitters such as: Dr Vom, Maghebula, Tshumu, Ramonyaku, MmaOshima, Kala Tsa Kgale and Sediba sa Ngwao.
THE NATIVE EXPERIENCE
Sereetsi and The Natives’ 8th Anniversary tour finally hits the road on 5th August, with the musical maestro getting the show underway at Thapama Hotel.
With an all-fire cast that includes: Lizibo, Khoisan and Ikajazz legend, Ndingo Johwa, Sereetsi’s return to the city that made him should be a night to remember.
