A mother who trusted her brother to babysit her five-year-old daughter got the shock of her life when she got back to reports of child molestation.
The mother had left the little girl with her uncle at Tapalapoo cattle post to do grocery shopping for her tuck shop in Tonota.
Upon her return to the cattle post, she found her daughter looking sad and dejected. When she was asked what was wrong, the girl said the uncle had “done things” to her.
Probed further, she outlined the horrendous details and that was when the mother found out that her daughter was molested.
She immediately reported the mater to the police.
The suspected uncle was arrested, arraigned in court on Monday and sent to jail to await his next court appearance in 14 days.
