SAMEHUNDUANS ROCKS ALL THE WAY
Old school Rock N Roll band from Maun, Samehunduans will represent Botswana at The Wacken Metal Battle Sub- Saharan Africa to be held in South Africa next year May.
The move came after the group emerged winners of the Wacken Metal Battle which was held last weekend at Rosepan Hotel in Letlhakane.
Samehunduans came winners after beating four rock bands that were competing with them.
Known for hits such as, ‘Pray for Syria’and ‘Masturbation crew,’ the group comprises, Kit Molina-Bass, Twisted Fuck on Drums and Lemmy Lameck on guitar and vocals.
The winner of the next stage will represent Southern Africa at Wacken in Germany.
Wacken Open Air (W:O:A) is a rock ‘n heavy metal music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and metal are represented and hosted.
It is now one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world and one of the largest open-air festivals in Germany.
This was the second Wacken Metal Battle Sub-Saharan Africa organized by Vulture Thrust Arts and Entertainment on behalf of Southern African Rock ‘N Metal music bands competition.
SHUMBA RATSHEGA IS BACK
After his dramatic exit from the entertainment industry to focus on his church, Shumba Ratshega has marked his return with a seven tracks album called, Jerusalem.
The album takes you back to his days when he used to dominate the airwaves with songs such as Makhirikhiri.
The album has songs such as, Menetekele, Kamoso Ke Metholo in which he features Bullet, Kgomo Ya Mmopa and Go Boleda featuring Touch while Mahempe is featured on Thabeng Tsa Lesotho and Madi a Kwana.
For Shumba Ratshega’s followers this is a must have album of the man called, The Lion.
