Molepolole police are on the hunt a 27-year-old man who reportedly chopped his neighbour to death with an axe on Tuesday morning.
Molepolole police station commander Superintendent Benedict Matlho said the incident was reported to them on Tuesday morning by the brother to the suspected killer.
According to Superintendent Matlho the 37- year old brother has told the police that the now deceased neighbour had visited them and him and his brother sat with him around a fire until he retired to bed leaving the two men chatting.
“He said that he was woken up by a commotion at the fire place and when he went to investigate he found the neighbour lying motionless with a wound at the back of his head. It is suspected that a sharp instrument might have been used to injure the him,” explained Superintendent Matlho saying the suspect then fled the scene while his brother phoned the police.
The police rushed the victim to Scottish Livingstone Hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.
