TAXI MAN DEMANDS SEX FROM PASSENGER
Police in Kanye were on Wednesday looking for a well known taxi man who allegedly indecently assaulted a passenger while transporting her home on Monday night.
Confirming the incident, Kanye Police Station Commander Superintendent Mmoloki Ramogale said the woman was the last customer to be dropped off so the taxi man wanted to take advantage of that but she managed to escape.
“The suspect is a well known man who has since been on the run but the police are on his trail,” explained Ramogale
Apparently the taxi man stopped the car and out of the blue unzipped the customer’s pants. When she resisted, the taxi driver allegedly pulled a knife and threatened to stab her so she begged him to calm down so they could use a condom since she was sick.
Whist he fumbled for a condom the woman bolted out and yelled for help from a passer-by and the taxi driver also sped off in his silver Mazda Demio.
“It is a concern that we encourage people to use public transport, I urge public transport drivers to care and protect their customers and also to have good conduct. I encourage people to be always careful, especially at night,” said Superintendent Mogale.
