SG’S BIRTHDAY BASH
The annual SG’s Birthday Bash is back on the 31st of March featuring the revolutionary Murumba Pitch and local DJs.
This is the third event presented by ‘Ka di 29’ following two successful events last year and in 2021.
According to organisers, they’re still in negotiations with another local act to be revealed in the coming week.
Murumba Pitch led by guitarist Phindulo Nedohe, bass guitarist, Timothy Lindani Ratshitanga and DJ Lufuno ‘Gene Crossta’ Nevhudogwa are known for their house fusion.
Their unique version of house music has been receiving a lot of airplay and love from house hot heads across the continent.
Inspired by the likes of Black Motion, Micasa and The Muffinz, Murumba is definitely destined for the very top.
Early bird tickets are available at P100(single), P180 (double), while general tickets will sell for P150 (single) and P280 (double).
The event will be at River Side Deck.
LETS DANCE EP
Comedian turned musician, William Last KRM begins the tour of his Let’s Dance EP this weekend with a performance scheduled for this Friday at Lizard Entertainment.
Motsetserepa as he is known will share the stage with Ubuntu Band in what promises to be an epic night of entertainment.
Some of the new songs on the EP include ‘Peka Peka’, ‘Haikhona man’, Wanna be with you and ‘Ditsala tsame’ featuring Maxy Khoisan and Sdala B.
Also on the line-up for the Friday gig is DJs Bunz, Kuster, Gino and Tsamahala.
Entry charge is P40.
BLACK & WHITE SEASONS
Visual artist Tehlai X Mahdi will host her first solo exhibition at Supa Ngwao Museum in Francistown on April 1st.
The exhibition aims to dispel the misconception that art has to be colorful to be appreciated.
Tehlai X is of the view that while both black and white are not colours but shades that augment other colours, they still evoke feelings.
The Black and White Seasons Exhibition intends to show how black and white art can be just as captivating through the use of textures, patterns and combing different art styles in art pieces.
The event starts at 2pm and entry is P25 for adults and P10 for kids.
