Grooving in the Ghetto

Francistown Arts Meeting (FAM), in collaboration with Reggae band, Steppin Razor and Molapo Leisure Gardens, will host two visual shows to commemorate 16 days of activism against Gender Based Violence (GBV).

The first show will be this Thursday and the follow-up on 9 December, where works that communicate GBV messages will be projected.

Both events cater for Reggae, Ragga, Rap, Poetry, Hip Hop, Art and Karaoke.

Show organiser and FAM founder, Keoagile Bonang said their previous outdoor exhibition was dedicated to GBV where they commissioned some visual artists to produce works and exhibit them during the event.

“We had artists from Zimbabwe and South Africa who exhibited digitally. Also Mme Margaret Ludo Mosojane was our guest speaker, so we intend to play those clips on our various media platforms as they are still relevant,” Bonang revealed. Entry is P30.
