Every last Friday of November consumers look forward to an ultimate price reduction across all products in all shops dubbed the Black Friday.
The Voice has taken to the streets of Maun to find out what the consumers anticipate this year and how ready they are for the greatest shopping madness that only comes once a year.

This black Friday I am not hoping for anything. I usually save up some money for black Friday shopping but my business has been terribly affected by covid-19.
Shops are not going to offer any significant price changes on their goods.
I have seen some black Friday deals in some shops already and there is not much of a difference.
Due to covid-19 shops should at least relax their operating hours to avoid crowding.

I am currently unemployed, I lost my job recently because the business was not doing well so they could not afford to pay us.
I won’t be shopping this black Friday because I don’t have money.
Even if they drop prices significantly, I still will not be able to afford a shopping spree in this year’s black Friday.

I expect the prices to be affordable and most importantly shops should come up with strategies that will promote adherence to covid-19 protocols.
The public should que properly observing social distancing despite the black Friday excitement.
I am happy because I will finally manage to buy a phone that i have long wished for.

I expect at least a 60% price reduction because during lockdown prices were hiked especially on food items.
If prices are reduced reasonably a good number of people will be able to afford to buy things they have been saving up for.
I have kept some money for black Friday and I am hoping to get great deals so that I can buy a number of things in my shopping list.
I have not saved money for black Friday due to financial commitments.
I am however hopeful for at least 50% sale because our businesses are still struggling to survive.
Ever since the first lock down those who lost their jobs have joined many hawkers in town competing for a small market.
I don’t think this black Friday will be the same as the previous years.
The shops should put in place strict measure that will encourage people to observe covid-19 protocols because covid 19 is now spreading locally.
