This publication reached out to the five leaders who confirmed their positive results but asked that we do not share their names.

One of the cabinet ministers who asked for privacy stated that his mother was ill and that he did not want to ‘risk’ her health by revealing his status;
“I have an ailing mother and because Covid-19 is fairly new in our lives I don’t want to risk my mother’s heath by going public. I will go public at the right time,” the cabinet Minister told told The Voice in an interview this week.

It is only Minister of Employment, Labour Productivity and Skills Development, Mpho Balopi who confirmed he had a health scare.

“While I confirm that I had a health scare, I wish to inform you all that I am isolating at home and in good physical health and of cheerful spirit. May we all continue to take all the necessary precautions against COVID-19. (SIC),” Balopi posted on his social media pages and refused to entertain The Voice questions further than his statement.
