THE FIRST FRIDAY COMEDY BACK
The First Friday Comedy is back, courtesy of Major Moves Comedy and Avani Gaborone hotel.
The show, which will be held on the 2nd February will feature the likes of Sir Matee of Lesotho, Augustus, Lebo English, and Thapelo Malani.
The host for the show will be the ever improving, Mdala Ka Tje of Ditori Tse Di Serious fame.
The show kicks off at 2000hrs and tickets are going for P150 single and P200 Double.
STUDENT PUBLISHES ‘FORGIVE GOD’ NOVEL
A 23–year old woman, Lebogang Kennedy Mozela has published a book called, Forgive God.
The lad from Ditladi village and currently pursuing her final year in BEng Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Botswana’s novel is about a 19-year-old Zimbabwean girl called Zena whose father leaves for Botswana one fateful day.
Zena waits in blissful hope for the day that her father would return with the greener pastures that he went in search of.
The years go by and even her childish love for her father can no longer turn a blind eye to the harsh realities before her.
She is thrown into a world of betrayal from family as well as the man she chose to fill the gap her father left.
When she becomes pregnant from a rape encounter with her perverted uncle, Zena must now learn what it means to breathe above the water, to survive or rather to point less fingers at God for life’s miseries.
It’s a fictional novel which explores the unsettling environment created by fathers who leave, each circumstance is different but the result is the same.
The book is available on pre order at P200.
FIZZY THE DJ HEADLINES BACK2SCHOOL
Mezzs Cafe near Botswana Accountancy College will tonight, Friday host the Back 2 School Hangout featuring, Fizzy The DJ, DJ LapSoul and Gee.
The show kicks off at 1800hrs until late and there will be some spin and win competitions.
