Thieves strike at judges farm

Daring thieves last Thursday wandered into the farm of a High Court Judge in Tonota where they broke in and stole a power generator.

The farm that is located along Tholotsane river belongs to one of the Francistown High Court Judges (names known to this publication).

The matter was reported to Tonota police in the morning of Friday.

Tonota Police Station Commander, Oteng Ngada, confirmed the incident.

“After the matter was reported to us our officers quickly attended to it and so far, they’ve managed to arrest two suspects and the other one is still on the run,” revealed Ngada.

He said the stolen generator was recovered at Seswe cattle post.

Superintendent Ngada said the two arrested suspects will be arraigned before court soon.

Still in Tonota, a 33-year-old man was arrested over the weekend for threatening to kill his girlfriend.

The accused who appeared before court on Tuesday is said to have uttered the words, ‘I will kill you’ to the complainant as such causing her to receive a threat upon her life.

The accused person was remanded in custody by a Francistown Magistrate Court.
